Trade show mania

Gearing up to do my first trade show on Thursday. Plenty to do. Plenty of nerves...not fun. Putting it all out there to be be scrutinized and hopefully there will be a little appreciating thrown in to make it worth while. Follow me on Instagram (miawidlake) for a little progress report. A few recent product snaps.

For my love of IKEA

I think I took IKEA a little for granted when it was just a 30 minute drive away. Now that I live in a country that does'nt have IKEA... yes, GASP!! Unless you count Nevada Furniture. Where you can buy a very limited selection of products or get gouged for a custom order. So, I'm in mourning, especially after seeing their new 2014 catalog. See it here, they've steered away from a more sterile look and introduced mood and a bit of realness. Love a bit of realness. These gorgeous images via Lotta Agaton.

Some Studio Number 19 Business

Shooting your own product is... you would think really easy, but its not. As with many things we do for ourselves, it tends to be over thought. Its hard putting what you make out there. But if you want to make a success of it you have to at the very least try. Images by James Strack.

Common Galaxia

Or not so common me thinks. This Melbourne based coffee shop is awesome right down to its custom made wood and brass pour over coffee stations.

Finally!

I have some decent pictures of Ginger and Fig to share with you. A restaurant that Kate and I completed earlier this year. Thank you James Strack for the images.

Horse play at The Ranch

Wellness immersion. Sounds exactly like what I need. This beautiful ranch in Malibu is a luxury boot camp, with daily yoga, massages, hiking. Right now the massage bit sounds really good.
